JOIN THE RACE CREW
Volunteers are the key to any successful event. Each year over 2,000 volunteers support the Atlantic City Marathon Race Series events. Without them, the races that our community members and runners have come to love, would not take place.
Volunteering provides an exciting opportunity to help out, meet other people and enjoy a day of race-watching in some of Atlantic City's most scenic locations.
Key locations include on-course hydration stations, key turns throughout Margate, Longport, Ventnor and Atlantic City, and Finish Line.
It is also a great, fun way to earn much needed Community Service Hours and EVERY volunteer gets a Race Crew T- Shirt to signify their tremendous contribution to the race.
School Groups, Non - Profit Organizations and Clubs: Earn up $250 for every 4 Hour Volunteer Shift with a minimum of ten Volunteers including two adults.

TO BE A CAPTAIN YOU MUST BE
An adult over 18 years of age.
- Able to attend scheduled volunteer meeting about one week prior to the race in Margate, NJ.
- Able to attend 1 - 3 scheduled captain’s meetings prior to the race in person or via zoom.
CAPTAINS TASK'S ON RACE WEEKEND
To oversee and govern all volunteers at his/her specific location. It is imperative that the volunteer captain:
- Convey all pertinent info to all the volunteers for their specific task (including times, locations, directions, waiver, etc.)
- Ensure that all volunteers work their entire shift.
- Check in and check out times of volunteers.
- Oversee set up &/or clean up (if applicable) of station.
- Oversee inventory control as applicable to station. (i.e., cups and supplies at water station).
